Random : 5 things you didn't know about Adidas

  1. The company was established due to the split between Adolf with his older brother Rudolf and Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik. Rudolf then created Puma. 
  2. The name came from from Adi Dassler on 18 August 1949. The acronym All Day I Dream About Sport, although sometimes considered the origin of the Adidas name, was applied retroactively, which makes it a backronym.
  3. The Adidas “three striped” logo was designed by Adidas founder Adi Dassler and was first used on Adidas footwear in 1947.
  4. Adidas is the parent company to many other brands including Reebok and Rockport.
  5.  The Adidas empire is worth an estimated $15 billion.
