Corporate : 5 things you didn't know about HP

  1. The company was founded by Stanford graduates, William Hewlett and David Packard with a capital of $538 (which was inclusive of equipment). 
  2. A toss of a coin decided their moniker order on the logo.
  3. The first product manufactured by HP was a resistance-capacitance audio oscillator that was used for testing.
  4. 50 years ago, Hewlett Packard was the only company to offer on-site recreational facilities. 
  5. In 1968, the company launched the first LED (light emitting diode) into the market.
